Actor's Dedication : Yellowstone is not just almost entirely shot in the landscape that we see but to make it more authentic the actors did something something crazy without their stunt double and without green cardboard paper. Like there's a scene where some of the characters play a game where they have to sit tight when a bull is running around them, the last one to be seated wins the game. Well, it was shot without any CGI work and some of the actors shot the scene without any stunt double and the danger was very real even a camera got distroyed by the bull. Before the production started some of the actors went on a “Pack Trip” where they learned how to be cowboys, this is what called dedication.
You might take it as a fact but not just a bull most of the time a they showed real animals whenever there was a scene including wolves of bear,it was real. The actors took risk to jump in front of them and showed their craziness, which makes the show even more interesting.
Every Shot is beautiful : whenever you are watching a big scale shot or people having conversation in a room, it's real and no CGI used to show you mountains neither did they use sets for indoor shooting. All of the ranch, including the interiors of the Duttons' lodge, are filmed at Chief Joseph Ranch in Darby, Montana.Things like these makes the visuals even more stunning and original.
Every episode is a movie : The intentions was to make every episode feel like a movie and they did it like that. Show's aspect ratio and the camera lenses used are all intentionally picked to make you feel like you're watching a movie and the creator even wrote the first season without act breaks of teaser so it feels like a movie and it feels like a movie which makes the show different than others.
